Once the Scala Server has been configured in Ad Manager Connect additional one time setup needs to be done.
Channel setup
Any Channel that is being used in Ad Manager Connect will need to be created in Content Manager. It is recommended to name the Channels with the same name as in Ad Manager Connect with a prefix of AMC_.
For example:
Set up the Channel with the correct size for playback on the Audiovisuals page of Content Manager:
After creating the Channel go to the Player and choose the channel from the dropdown on the Properties page.
Creating a Primary playlist
In Content Manager there will be playlists with the prefix "Segment:" followed by the name of a Segment from Ad Manager Connect (e.g. Full).
It is possible to schedule this to the Channel and the content will publish and play but if there are more than one Segment associated with the Channel it is necessary to create a Playlist that will play all the Segments for the Channel.
Create a new Playlist and it is recommended you name the Playlist with the prefix "AMC_Primary_" followed by the name of the Channel and save it.
You may also add non-Ad Manager Connect Playlists to the Primary Playlist (e.g. internal Marketing content, music videos, etc).
Go to the Items page and click on Add Sub-Playlist and choose the Segments that belong to this Channel and save the Playlist.
Schedule the Playlist to the Channel
Go to the Channel and click on View Schedule. Click on the New button on the right side of the grid and choose the primary Playlist then click on Create.
The Grid will populate with the Playlist.
Click on Save & Close.
The content will start downloading to the player start playing.
