In Ad Manager Connect, you can organize how digital content is to play. This is done by creating a Channel.
A Channel is made up of Segments. Each Segment is has rules about the maximum number of campaigns you can have as part of it and how long each ad plays. You can create multiple channels with different combinations of Segments to match your desired playback.
To create a Channel, go to Inventory and select Channels. From this screen, click the New () button to create a new Channel. Enter the name of the new channel and any additional information you wish to track. When finished, click the Save button (
).
At this point you can now add Segments by clicking on the Segments page across the top. Click New() to add a segment to the channel.
When adding a Segment, you can select one from the list of segments already listed, or you can add a NEW segment.
After selecting/adding your segment, you need to identify the maximum number of spots that will play in this Segment for this Channel. You also need to identify the duration of the spots and the share of the total impressions that this spot will receive for the entire Channel. Finally, you can identify whether this Segment should be charged at the Face Rate or if it should be marked up or discounted when calculating the campaign cost. When finished, click ADD.
Once you have added a Segment, the current list of Segments for the Channel will be displayed. If you wish to add more segments, click the New () button. If you wish to remove a segment, click the Remove button (
) next to the segment
